LED floodlights are large-area lighting devices used for outdoor illumination. They have made technological advancements and developments based on classic metal halide and high-pressure sodium lighting fixtures. LED floodlights utilize LED solid-state cold light sources instead of traditional metal halide and high-pressure sodium bulbs. They do not emit poisonous gases, have no adverse environmental effects, and are recyclable.

Featuring a high protection level, suitable for harsh outdoor environments. With an IP66 waterproof rating, it effectively prevents water and dust ingress, making it suitable for use in various weather conditions. The robust housing ensures durability, with the entire fixture rated IK10 for impact resistance, capable of withstanding external collisions and damage. Additionally, the housing of the floodlight is coated with UV-resistant and salt spray-resistant powder coating, with a thickness exceeding 80um. After undergoing a 1000-hour neutral salt spray test, it still meets Grade A standards, indicating outstanding corrosion resistance and the ability to provide stable and efficient lighting in outdoor environments.

3. How much power does a led flood light use?

The power of LED floodlights varies depending on their different usage scenarios. High pole lamp lighting requires super high power, usually over 600W; large-area sports venues, such as football fields, typically require wattages exceeding 1000 watts; in small-area sports venues, such as basketball courts and tennis courts, the power will be lower, generally between 100-400 watts is sufficient; however, for places like billboards and building lighting, the power requirements for floodlights are usually smaller, typically below 100 watts; if you want to know how much power of floodlights you need to purchase? 1. How to replace led flood light ?

A 100-watt LED floodlight is equivalent to a 250-watt Metal Halide (MH) floodlight or a 250-watt High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) floodlight. A 150-watt LED floodlight is equivalent to a 400-watt Metal Halide (MH) floodlight or a 400-watt High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) floodlight. A 300-watt LED floodlight is equivalent to a 1000-watt Metal Halide (MH) floodlight or a 1000-watt High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) floodlight. A 400-watt LED floodlight is equivalent to a 1200-watt Metal Halide (MH) floodlight or a 1200-watt High-Pressure Sodium (HPS) floodlight.

2. How to install led flood light ?

Common LED floodlight wattages range from 10W to 2000W, with specific applications and luminous flux requirements. For example: Garden/Backyard: 10-50W, 800-5000 lumens, mounted height 3-5 meters. Tennis court: 150-250W, 18000-30000 lumens, mounted height 8-10 meters. Roadway: 30-250W, 3000-30000 lumens, mounted height 6-14 meters. Tunnel: 50-200W, 6000-24000 lumens, mounted height 6-8 meters. Football field: 500-1000W, 60000-150000 lumens, mounted height 10-20 meters. Parking lots: 100-150W, 10000-18000 lumens, mounted height 6-8 meters. Overpass: 400-2000W, 50000-180000 lumens, mounted height 15-30 meters.

3. Are led flood lights dimmable?

LED floodlights can be dimmed, but not all of them. You must check the product specifications to determine if dimming is supported. If LED floodlights do not support dimming, please do not use any dimmers, as they may cause damage. There are three dimming options available: PWM dimming, 0/1-10V dimming, and DALI dimming. If you want to dim the lights, you must use these dimmable floodlight fixtures.

LED floodlights can flicker due to various reasons: LED chips: Low-quality LED chips or improper LED driving power specifications can cause flickering, sometimes leading to chip failure. LED driver: Insufficient electrolytic capacity in the LED driver can result in inconsistent output currents and voltages, leading to flickering. High temperature: Inadequate heat dissipation in floodlight housings can trigger the driver's over-temperature protection, causing flickering. Water ingress: Outdoor floodlights are prone to water ingress, which can corrode LED chips and cause flickering.
